| As a specialist sports college we pride ourselves on striving for the highest standards – whether this be in the classroom, on the stage, or within the sporting arena. | |
| The culture of celebration and success is firmly embedded and we are blessed with some very impressive sporting facilities, in particular a state of the art climbing wall. We encourage all our students to take advantage of the opportunities available to them and to ‘reach their summit’. | |
| We are very proud of the achievements of so many of our students, past and present and firmly believe they are the best advocates for a school who truly value active involvement and learning. Former students include West End musical theatre star Laura- Michelle Kelly, Olympic gold medallist rower Louis Attrill, Welsh rugby international Jonathon Griffiths and National Champion Hammer thrower Andy Frost. We currently have two students competing internationally in sport and eleven at County standard. Our Global rock team not only became National Champions in July, but also scooped the top awards including student leadership- a very strong feature of this school. |

| However, success is not limited to sport and performing arts; A level results were our best ever last year and our personalised curriculum at Key Stage 4 is providing learners with a wide range of opportunities to succeed. Our number one priority is to further increase the percentage of students who obtain at least five GCSE passes or equivalent at A*-C including English and Maths. | |
