| The Business Studies Department offers a range of courses from Years 10 to 13. Within lower school we have two courses that suit different learning styles. |

| GCSE Business Studies is provided for those students who prefer examinations to coursework. | |
The course content comprises topics such as:

| We also offer BTEC Business First which suits students who prefer coursework with continual assessment. Topics covered include business ownership, customer service and finance. |

| Within the upper school we offer GCE Applied business which comprises both coursework and examinations. The content is very practical and includes writing a business plan and a marketing campaign. |

| Enterprise | |
| The Department also provides enterprise experience for its students. We have had teams in Young Enterprise and we are involved in Isle of Wight Young Chamber both in lower and upper school. We also compete in the Chamber of Commerce Young Apprentice Challenge and have successfully won this competition in the past. As part of Enterprise development we have had guest speakers including David Pugh, Leader of the IW Council, Director of Isle of Wight Ferries, Liz Earle and Jonathon Jay, a self made millionaire. |
