Geology

Geology is an exciting course which develops an understanding of the world around us.

• It examines the form and structure of the Earth and the development of life on Earth. Uniquely it introduces the concept of the vastness of geological time which, together with the study of the rock record and fossils, leads to a deeper understanding of the origin of the planet and the significance of life on Earth.

• The course is taught at both GCSE and A level. The course studies all aspects of the earth, looking at modern and ancient examples to explain how the surface of the earth has been shaped over the millions of years of earth’s history.
